Hyoma Chigiri

Soft, delicate features have followed Chigiri since childhood, so much so that strangers routinely take him for a girl and hang names like Princess or Kunoichi on him, a mix-up he bats away with a flat 'I'm a guy.' His long lashes, reddish-pink hair, and deep pink eyes echo the looks of his mother and older sister, and teammates who call him handsome barely earn a reaction. He kept that hair around neck length until an ACL tear in his right knee, after which he let it grow well past his shoulders, leaving a single long bang across the right of his face and braiding the left side to keep it clear during matches. His pitch wardrobe shifts with each squad, from Blue Lock's striped bodysuit and the assorted colored team jerseys to Manshine City's short-sleeved kit with black gloves and Japan U-20's sleeveless top paired with pale wristbands.

Chigiri plays with a fierce, self-assured drive and a hunger to leave rivals in his wake. As a boy he crowned himself a chosen one, sure that his natural muscle, technique, and blistering pace set him above everyone, and he made little effort to hide his contempt for anyone in his path. The ACL tear cracked that armor, and with the Wanima brothers taunting him, he grew terrified that pushing on would cost him his very identity, so he entered Blue Lock half-hoping to find an excuse to walk away. Reclaiming his ego flipped that mindset into stubborn persistence. The version that emerged is still cocky but far warmer, quick with a sharp jab at friends and foes alike and just as quick to bury anyone he feels has wronged him, whether that means outrunning Zantetsu Tsurugi or surging ahead of Yoichi Isagi. Away from competition he turns mellow and easygoing, trading banter with Rensuke Kunigami, pulling Reo Mikage into their trio, and needling Shoei Baro while bonding with Seishiro Nagi. He fusses over his body and especially his hair, twirling it in thought and swatting away Jyubei Aryu's hand, and his emotions run deep enough that being subbed off against Japan U-20 for lack of stamina left him in tears on the bench.

Built as a forward and counter attacker, Chigiri turns raw pace into a weapon few defenders can survive. His Immeasurable Speed springs from powerful legs and precise footwork, enough to blow past even Oliver Aiku, and over long ground he is untouchable, clocking fifty meters in 5.77 seconds and 'passing' the ball far ahead so he can chase it down and split any back line. The rest of his running toolkit runs deep: a No-Break Dribble that skips trapping the ball and accelerates mid-sprint, High-Speed Pressure to hound ball carriers, a Jungle Jam Run that lures foes inward, and a Double Wing Boost of trading passes with Zantetsu at full tilt, capped by feats like the Parkour Shot and untrackable crosses. Under Chris Prince's mentoring he refined it all into the 44 Red Panther Sniper, keyed to an ideal zone roughly 44 degrees left and 19 meters out, where a chain of sudden cut-ins carries him into position before a centered, tightly controlled shot, closer to a firm pass than a blast, curls into the far corner. Whenever he slips into Flow, that sniper mode becomes his default gear.
