Meguru Bachira

Bachira is a slim, taller-than-average youth with an oval face, vivid yellow eyes, and mod-cut hair falling to his chin, black on top with golden lights beneath (shorter and ear-length in his younger days). He wore number 8 in junior football and again for Namikaze High during the Chiba Prefecture Tournament, where the shirt carried a distinctive bird crest. Inside Blue Lock he uses the standard black bodysuit with gray stripes; he sported Team Z's blue 8, Team White's 16 before switching to red, and alternated Team A's black 7 with Team C's white-and-blue 7 across the selections. For the Japan U-20 match he pulls on an official Blue Lock kit numbered 8, and dons FC Barcha's uniform when he plays for the club.

Bachira is eccentric, bubbly, and almost always upbeat during a match, treating football as pure fun shared with others and rarely losing his composure. He clicks instantly with the equally offbeat Lavinho, whose style inspires him. Prone to nodding off at odd moments, he oversleeps and leans on Isagi or Kuon to rouse him, then drifts off again during meetings or even meals, and has a habit of turning up stark naked after training and games. Once the Neo Egoist League begins he sharpens up, weight training and meditating to chase the world-class egoist he pictures himself becoming. As a child his oddness and talent made him a target for bullies, leaving him terrified of being alone; to cope he conjured an imaginary football monster that spurred him on. Only at Blue Lock, surrounded by kindred spirits and real friends like Isagi, Rin, Chigiri, and Kunigami, does he begin to confront that wound. After the Team White versus Team Red rematch he sheds the trauma, resolving to be bolder and more selfish, scoring for himself and passing only to those who can excite him, and meeting every trial with stubborn optimism.

Classed as both forward and dribbler, Bachira slices through defenses with close control that only elite players can halt; Team Z leaned heavily on it during the First Selection, and after Neo Egoist League training he shifted toward a reactive style, reading opponents before committing. His Elastic Dribbling draws on supreme technique and creativity, so slick that Isagi doubts he could ever strip the ball one-on-one, and it spawned an Egotistical Style in the Second Selection where he refuses to pass, once beating Isagi and then Chigiri, Baro, and Nagi in a single run. His toolbox includes Hyperspeed Scissors, the Marseille Turn, Midair Elastico, Rabona, a triple nutmeg, Double Touch Feint, and Aerial Rush Turn. He is a gifted passer too, delivering high-speed ground passes, no-look Rabona feeds, sixty-meter backspin balls, quick crosses (one setting up Rin against Team World Five), heel-lift passes, Backspin Low Drive Crosses, and his signature Bee Shot. In Flow State he slips into Monstrance, a challenge-locked trance of pure instinct that overwhelmed the U-20 defense and Oliver Aiku; fusing it with Lavinho's Ginga produces Monster x Ginga, along with the Trick Break and the Monster Lift he used to torment Aiku.
