Yasumori Hoichi

Yasumori is a big, well-built man who is never out of formal wear. His standard look pairs a black blazer and crisp white dress shirt with black trousers and matching shoes.

Like the chairman he answers to, Yasumori measures the sport in profit, treating soccer as a means to make money and joining Hirotoshi's push to wreck Blue Lock. Pride runs through him as well: he takes his post seriously and places total confidence in his Japan U-20 squad, certain they will come out on top.

That certainty exposed his limits when his side trailed the Blue Lock Eleven at the half and he turned to Buratsuta for instructions rather than adjusting on his own, a habit born of deferring to the JFA. Even so, he can own his shortcomings, conceding outright that the Blue Lock Eleven simply outclassed his team.

Hired out of the Japan Football Union's orbit, Yasumori took the reins of the Japan U-20 team and led them into their showdown with Blue Lock's chosen eleven. Nicknamed 'Hoichi the Earless,' he is widely read as a nod to Hajime Moriyasu, the real manager of Japan's national side.
