Shaking off what he thought he glimpsed as mere imagination, Isagi returns to a match with fifteen minutes left and Team Z trailing 2-3. Igaguri argues that holding the current gap is enough to advance, though a cushion goal would help, yet Team Z cannot force a breakthrough. Distracted and frustrated, Isagi is dispossessed by Junichi and senses something is deeply wrong: Team W counters every one of their weapons perfectly, and he can no longer catch the scent of the goal.

Convinced a leak exists inside his own side, Isagi flashes back to Kuon's smile. He reasons that Kuon, expecting Team Z to fall, decided to outscore everyone so he alone would survive.

Isagi confronts Kuon over the betrayal, and before he can reply the Wanima twins confirm the accusation. Keisuke reveals that Kuon handed Team W a full rundown of each player's strengths and flaws, having slipped away to meet them during Team Z's strategy session and covering his absence with a story about a long bath.

Enraged, Raichi swings at Kuon and earns a yellow card, forcing everyone back into position. Pressed by Igaguri, Kuon calls the team foolish for believing they could win and declares himself Team Z's lone survivor, turning the contest into effectively twelve against ten. In trade for the leaked intel, Team W lets him score three goals to top the team's scoring chart. He dismisses Isagi as naive, insisting bonds mean nothing in Blue Lock and that his ego, fed by betrayal, is what wins. Keisuke then nets another to push Team W ahead 4-3.

Kuon is exposed as the one who leaked Team Z's strengths and weaknesses to Team W.

Believing his team would not clear the first selection, Kuon traded the information to survive as its leading scorer.

With Kuon effectively siding with Team W, Keisuke adds a goal to give the opponents a 4-3 lead.
