Summary

A short flashback shows a young Onazi juggling among cheering friends who hail him as their shining hope. In the present, commentators Atsuto Tereasa and Harutaro Natsuki walk the audience through the competition's layout: sixty-four nations split into sixteen groups of four for qualifying, with the top two from each advancing to a thirty-two-team knockout that crowns the champion. Tereasa also notes that every match relies on the Mikage Corporation's exclusive translating earpiece.

Key Events

Nigeria take the kickoff, and captain Kuso slices past Isagi and Rin before feeding Bello, who twists clear of Bachira. Aryu dismisses the pass as sloppy yet is beaten to the ball in the air by Onazi, whose flexibility earns praise from Aiku. Onazi fires a mid-air strike toward an opening, only for Niko to plug the gap and rescue Japan.

The loose ball reaches Karasu, who chests it down and clears to Hiori, and his pass springs Rin into a one-on-one with Oboabona. Using Predator Eye to hide behind his marker, Rin deceives keeper Agbim and bends in a shot, but Onazi hurls himself across to block it, leaving the ball hanging as Isagi readies a vision already tuned to Nigeria's power.
