Summary

Trailing 3-1, Team White commits to a plan Nagi himself dreamed up, a rarity that surprises Isagi. Nagi admits he never bothers to scheme and only did so now because losing irritates him, since a game he cannot win holds no joy for him. Off the restart Isagi feeds Bachira, and with Aryu shadowing Nagi and Tokimitsu locked onto Bachira, the three whip the ball around in quick one-touch triangles as they push upfield. Bachira slides it to Isagi charging the box, but Rin cuts the lane and mocks the weak connection, so Bachira redirects a driven ground pass to Nagi instead. A back-heel trap, a turn past Aryu, and Nagi finishes to pull within one.

Nagi explains that the strike came out of nowhere, the familiar passes freeing him to act on pure instinct while an idea jammed itself into his head. Bachira teases that Nagi could grow to enjoy having thoughts fed to him, and the two tally how many goals remain. Isagi picks the sequence apart, seeing that their triangle rhythm, Bachira's imagination, and Nagi's reflexes had fused into something greater. Rin scolds the celebrating trio and launches a strike straight from the kickoff that nearly lands, only for Isagi to head it clear. Sensing danger becomes Isagi's role, and he resolves to govern the pitch with his vision, throwing Rin's taunt right back at him.
