Summary

Realizing that nothing routine will work against Karasu, Isagi gets a read on him from Hiori, who nicknames the marker the Assassin for the way he studies players and preys on the weakest. Having shared a Kansai youth side with Karasu, Hiori urges Isagi to quit hiding his flaws and instead push back with his strengths. At the restart, Rin feeds Shido, who lays it to Isagi, only for Karasu to pin him with his arms so he can neither turn nor pass. Shido and Nanase pile on three against one, yet Otoya uses his Ninja Step to snatch Karasu's release, startling even Rin.

Hiori scrambles to cut Otoya off, explaining how Karasu reels defenders in with his holding play and then scores from that opening. Otoya duly slots Team B's second, and Hiori, apologizing for being beaten, marvels that the assassin and the ninja might form Blue Lock's deadliest pairing. When play resumes, Rin bypasses the caged Isagi and trusts Hiori, whose sharp passing beats Shiguma and returns the ball. Stopped by Otoya, Rin uses the cover of Otoya, Shido, and Chigiri to bend a blind shot into the net, squaring the game at two each and leaving Isagi stewing over his own silence at the half.
