History
At some earlier point a tipsy Himeno once kissed him. He attends the welcome gathering thrown for fresh recruits of Special Division 4, where his absent fiend partner draws comment and he explains that his newest teammate had been killed on the job just a day before. As the evening winds down he reminds the others to thank Makima for covering the bill and notes to her that Himeno had carried Denji off. His life ends during the Gun Devil's campaign to wipe out Public Safety's special units, when gunmen open fire on him and his partner in plain daylight.
