Appearance

Joey stands tall on a frame of ordinary build, his long hair left in a disheveled tangle above a pair of menacing eyes. His outfit closely resembles the suit worn by Public Safety devil hunters.

Personality

The middle of three brothers, Joey comes across as the least grown-up of the trio, enough that his elder brother flatly calls him a dumbass. He chases women wherever his work takes him and enjoys his cigarettes. For all his coarseness, he stays tightly bound to his family, reacting with shock and fury when his brother is slain and trying to steady both himself and Aldo in his final stretch.

History

In the International Assassins arc, Joey and his brothers take a contract from federal agents back in New York, a two-million-dollar job to hunt down Chainsaw Man in Japan. Reminding the fearful Aldo that they have already lived through the Gun Devil's rampage and much else, the eldest dubs the three of them immortal before they set off. On arrival they scatter road spikes to wreck a car carrying three devil hunters, then gun the survivors down, with Joey lamenting that the woman among them, Tendo, was too good-looking to kill.

Once the eldest brother assumes Kurose's face to infiltrate Special Division 4, the plan unravels when Power rams the group with Kobeni's car and the disguise falls away. Retreating to an alley to shed their borrowed appearances, Joey collects himself and swears to kill the fiend responsible. Before he can, Yoshida yanks him around a corner and wounds him, trades a few words with the disguised Aldo, then steps back behind the corner to finish Joey off.
