History

Tomono and Kurose grew up together and once played on the same soccer team. While Kurose was in Tokyo, the two of them and Michiko Tendo went swimming and took a photo, and on its back Tomono scribbled a note asking Kurose to call again whenever he was in town. During the International Assassins arc, the assassin Aldo, disguised as Kurose and with nowhere else to go, finds that very photo and shows up at Tomono's place. The two pass the night trading memories, though the sight of a picture of the real Kurose leaves Aldo feeling ill. As they settle in to sleep, Tomono shares his plan to quit his own job and floats the idea of the pair opening a secondhand clothing shop so Kurose can leave hunting behind, certain he will otherwise meet his brother's fate. When Tomono wonders aloud what that brother might have said, Aldo, thinking of his own brothers, answers that a professional just gets the job done, which leaves Tomono marveling that it really does sound like something Kurose's brother would say.
