Appearance

In its first life the devil takes the shape of a colossal humanoid wrapped in a churning gale of brain tissue, the crown of its head laid bare to reveal still more brain matter feeding the storm. A flashback lends that face the look of a mustached old man. Reborn, it instead wears the face of an infant, and a severed baby's leg juts out from the surrounding tempest.

History

In a disused restroom the Typhoon Devil holds a conversation with a murderer bound to it by contract, a man who wonders why devils crave the Chainsaw Devil's heart. Rather than answer, it warns him to fear the human carrying that heart, who has already cut down many of their kind. It later seals Denji and Reze inside a school with a storm, but when the killer tries to grab Reze and she kills him instead, the devil learns of her tie to Chainsaw Man and submits to her in exchange for forgiveness. During Reze's fight with Aki Hayakawa and Galgali it crashes through a building to announce itself, then rounds on Denji once he rides in on Beam. After Beam dives into the heart of its brain-matter cyclone, Denji carves the devil apart and reduces it to a heap of pulp. A separate flashback reveals it once razed Asa Mitaka's home and slaughtered her whole family. The bargain it offered the killer, lifelong use of its power for the Chainsaw Devil's heart, never came to pass because Reze killed him. Its sheer bulk lets it level buildings just by charging through them, the wind off its spinning body strong enough to fling cars skyward.
