Summary

Power grants Denji three squeezes as payment, one for rescuing Meowy, one for slaying the Bat Devil, and one for shielding her from the man she calls topknot. She admits she would never normally permit it and only relents to settle the debt. On the first grab Denji senses something amiss and watches a pad drop to the floor; Power cheerfully explains the padding inflates her chest. Rattled but undeterred, he finishes the other two and is left speechless. With the score even, Power boasts about how fortunate he is, and declares that since Meowy is safe she no longer needs hunting work, though Makima's grip means she will assist him regardless.

The conquest leaves Denji oddly empty. Doing paperwork alongside Makima, who senses his mood, he confesses that finally reaching a dream felt like nothing, and frets that other goals might let him down the same way. Pressed to explain, he blurts that touching his first chest was underwhelming. Makima takes his hand and suggests that intimacy deepens with closeness, guiding his fingers, having him touch her ear, biting one finger, and pressing his palm to her chest until he reddens and topples backward. Then she leans in with a request: kill the Gun Devil. She recounts that it surfaced in America thirteen years earlier, that its whereabouts are unknown, and that every hunter dreads it, yet she believes he is the one who can manage it. Should he succeed, she promises to grant him a single wish of his choosing.
