Summary

Repulsed, Asa brands Chainsaw Man a creep and tells him to drop dead. Bewildered, Denji defends the act, crediting humanity's whole success to how good it feels. Asa counters that people only bother with it out of boredom and finds the swapping of fluids especially vile. When she scoffs at the notion that anyone would sleep with him, Denji insists he intends to land a girlfriend, and she snaps that no woman would touch a man whose head is a chainsaw. The blow lands so hard that he too begins sinking down into Hell.

Coming to beside another victim's head, Denji gathers the unconscious Asa into his arms, hoists her up, and makes for a distant door. A Devil lops off his head along the way, but he simply reassembles himself and presses on.

Key Events

At the doorway, the Falling Devil blocks his path and orders him to release Asa, declaring that he is no part of the meal. Denji quips that she could at least let him keep the rear, earning the label of pervert.

Without warning, a blade tears through the Falling Devil from behind, wielded by what looks like a separate Chainsaw Man, which stuns Denji. This Pseudo-Chainsaw Man spells out the rule: the Falling Devil cannot abide a customer who abandons his plate, so every Devil in Hell will now scramble to devour Asa and fulfill that hunger. He instructs Chainsaw Man to keep dodging the others until dawn arrives.

Notes

Part of the Falling Devil arc and collected in Volume 15, this chapter introduces the Fake Chainsaw Man as a striking new presence. The cast includes Asa Mitaka, Denji, the Falling Devil, and the Justice Devil, alongside the impostor who turns on the Falling Devil. The title nods to the recurring food motif that frames the Falling Devil's actions throughout the arc.
