Summary

A flashback opens the chapter. Yoru, still possessing her left arm, sits in her bath and stretches toward a soap bar that becomes a blade the instant it reaches her palm. Asa watches without surprise as Yoru demonstrates that she remade her apartment as a weapon without ever speaking its name. Such control marks her rising strength, yet it falls short of toppling Chainsaw Man. The Pseudo-Chainsaw Men keep feeding the Chainsaw Devil; as dread of war spreads, his power swells, leaving her unable to overtake him. Asa pushes her to abandon the feud, noting the public is rediscovering war's terror and that Denji's death would bring Yoru no happiness.

Key Events

Yoru clarifies the conflict goes past pride. She intends to free the allies that Pochita devoured, and says two methods exist for doing so. Still, she will not waste them as plain armaments, even though chasing her goal has drained her tuition fund and left her without a home, because spending them carelessly would ruin the rescue. Regardless, she swears to do anything required to establish herself as the scarier devil.

Notes

Returning to the present, Yoru admits she would even weaponize her own offspring to satisfy her craving. She stretches out her absent arms and summons the Gun and Tank Devils, each sealed in holding cells, one at Mount Elbrus and the other in the Gulf of Mexico. Equipped now with fresh limbs, one a gun and one a tank, she copies Makima's 'bang' and severs an arm from the Chainsaw Devil; calling her offspring also rips a gap in his belly and releases the Mouth Devil. The title deliberately reads 'children' in a way that sounds like the Japanese term for death, suiting the pair of devils she calls.
