Chapter 179: Vamvagah

Hoping to reboot himself, Pochita yanks his ripcord, but nothing happens. He drags himself toward the Aging Devil, who looks pleased at the prospect of being eaten, then is stunned when Pochita starts begging for blood once more. Mocking him as stupid, they pin him before the War Devil. Yoru charges that they mean to rob her of the glory, while Asa urges her other half to stop, since Pochita is nearly finished and victory is essentially theirs.

Yoru rejects the plea, reasoning that converting Pochita into a weapon would grant both their wishes, just as Fami vowed. When Asa presses on whether she really thinks the plan succeeds, Yoru insists it will, and Asa seizes control of the body. Yoru begs to have it returned and offers to leave Denji alone, then, met with silence, says it wounds her that Asa fears her.

Overcome with guilt, Asa gives the body back, and Yoru seizes the chance to loose a bullet. Asa panics, yet the round was aimed at the Aging Devil rather than Pochita. With a sigh, the Aging Devil lays a hand on the finger bullet and crumbles it to dust. They judge that neither Pochita nor Yoru is mature enough to speak with them, declaring it time for both to 'grow up'.
