Summary

The Devil dangles a paltry 2,000 yen before the Fake Chainsaw Man, but the bribe goes nowhere because he holds that money is neither real nor meaningful. When she insists she still has lives to rescue, he counters that her plan to spare people via death and relieve their pain ignores how they cling to hope even in grim conditions. Being the Death Devil, he says, leaves her blind to that truth, and the point seems to spark something in her. She restores her own body by siphoning the lifespans of nearby ants, then offers a proper introduction at last: Famine, the Horseman who pulls life away and brings suffering to its end by way of death, though she would sooner be called Fami.

Key Events

Bewildered, the Chainsaw Man Copycat is certain she must be the Death Devil, and before she can clarify that the Death Devil happens to be her sister, Fami commands the Falling Devil to bear down on the two of them. She allows the chef to whip up whatever dish he has in mind, spending the lives of several onlookers to assemble a dish she calls Human and Giraffe Sautéed in Blood. At that the Fake Chainsaw Man knows her for the genuine Death Devil, while the true Fami implores her sister to accept death and keep humanity safe.
