Summary

Yoru and Denji touch down next to the heap of blades and assume the danger has passed, but they soon spot that Falling Devil is still alive. She mocks Yoru, asking if she is satisfied, then notes that the dread of falling is hardwired into every living thing while war is a far more human invention. Meaning to injure the two only slightly, she sends Asa's swords flying to skewer them. Yoru tells Denji her impaled leg keeps her from running, so he scoops her up and carries her clear.

Denji asks Yoru to make a motorcycle, but she explains she needs a real one to copy first. The pair duck into a small shop where the swords are briefly stopped by the owner's door, to his annoyance. Yoru announces she will unleash her second ultimate weapon and lays a hand on Denji's head. Both he and the shopkeeper are baffled until Asa takes over and explains that Yoru means to transform him into a weapon. Denji accepts, hoping that becoming a badass weapon might ease some of his sins. Yoru, however, has grown fond of the boy and abruptly refuses, saying she cannot do it. In that instant the swarm of weapons bursts through the storefront, and a spear drives into Yoru's head.
