Summary

Makima works out that the Gun-Agents are hunting Denji and sends Kurose and Tendo to secure a high shrine, thirty lifers, and fresh clothing. At the abduction site, the agents loading Denji's torso into a car start to feel wrong. One is abruptly crushed flat by something invisible, terrifying the rest. Sawatari calls E Team to verify Makima's death through C Team, but the responding agent is flattened in the middle of his reply. Sawatari and Katana Man recoil, and she begins hinting that she understands what Makima can do.

Far away, Makima carries out a ritual with Tendo, Kurose, and the thirty convicts all blindfolded. Tendo tells Kurose that Makima's rank keeps the identity of her contracted Devil classified. Makima has a prisoner speak the name Shuzo Mishima, and the agent of that name is instantly flattened while the prisoner drops dead. She moves to the next convict and the next target, and Gun-Agents fall crushed nationwide. Then she halts, startling Sawatari, and tells her companions to remove their blindfolds, having reached the limit of what she can accomplish from where they stand.
