Chapter 48 of Chainsaw Man, Kaboom Kaboom Kaboom, throws Denji into a brutal solo exchange with Reze. Her detonations tear him apart and showcase how outclassed his reckless style is, until Aki springs a hidden ambush.
The clash begins with a detonation that shreds the truck the two combatants share, launching Denji into a nearby structure where Reze drives a punch that sends him flying again. She lectures him that swinging blindly accomplishes nothing and that he must wield his abilities with purpose. To drive the lesson home, she reveals she let him sever one of her fingers on purpose, that the digit is now snagged on his chains, and she sets it off in a blast right against him.
Denji bursts from the resulting smoke to strike, but Reze's speed easily outpaces him and she blows the pair skyward. Mid-air she reshapes a leg into a missile, slamming them both into the pavement and ripping his upper body apart. Before a crowd of bloodied onlookers she lifts what remains of his torso and detonates it again, reducing it to a charred lump. Stepping through the wrecked building over the dead and the wounded, she fails to notice Aki playing dead among the corpses. As she passes, he rises and cuts off her arm, forcing her to lose her grip on Denji.
This Volume 6 entry continues the Bomb Girl arc and was later folded into Chainsaw Man, The Movie: Reze Arc. The chapter underscores the gap in skill between the two fighters, with Reze treating the duel almost as a tutorial even as she dismembers him. Aki's feigned death sets up the rescue beat that carries into the following chapter.

Look, the origins of this viral showdown trace back to a single tweet that playfully juxtaposed Reze's enigmatic allure against Bakugo's expl...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
