Shark Hurricane

Aki springs forward to strike again, but a flash of the Future Devil's foresight sends him dodging instead. Reze retaliates by morphing an arm into a missile and slamming the ground, setting off an enormous explosion. The recoil flings her backward, and the Violence Fiend turns up just in time to drag Aki clear of the blast. Apologizing for arriving late, the Fiend hears Aki confess he has never been this relieved to see a devil. Reze then calls for a timeout, complaining that a two-on-one is unfair after all the blood she has lost. The Fiend nearly grants the handicap, but Aki refuses outright, and Reze drops the pretense as a monstrously huge Typhoon Devil bursts through a nearby building to join her.

Picking through the rubble, the Angel Devil soaks up the fading life of dying victims while consoling them, then comes to Denji's torso, which Beam is holding. A dose of blood revives Denji completely, and he comes to with no clothes on as Beam raves about how cool he looks. The Angel Devil spells out the options: surrender his heart and die, or kill Reze; Denji chooses to kill her, calling it an easy pick. Anxious about her sheer power, he asks Beam for tactics, and Beam suggests swinging between buildings on the chains for speed. Delighted, Denji has Beam turn into a shark, gets dressed, climbs aboard, and grips the chains like reins, treating Beam as if he were a mount. Beam and the Angel Devil alike call the whole idea ridiculous, yet Denji ignores them and charges the battle, where the Typhoon Devil welcomes him gleefully.

Part of the Bomb Girl arc and collected in Volume 6, the chapter was brought to screen in the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc movie. It introduces the Typhoon Devil as a full combatant and crystallizes Denji's resolve to end Reze, while the shark-riding gag sets the tone for the spectacle of the following chapters.
