Summary

On a park bench, Denji joins a drinking Kishibe while walking all seven of Makima's dogs with Meowy perched on his head. He reports that he ate every part of Makima and she never came back, not in his stomach nor anywhere else. Pressed on how he managed it when attacks meant nothing to her, Denji insists he never wanted to wound her: consuming her and merging with her was not an assault but love. Kishibe figures he simply slipped around her contract by accident.

Denji adds that Makima only recognized people by scent, never their faces, so he gambled that she had always perceived him as Chainsaw Man and never truly noticed Denji himself.

Key Events

A small girl approaches and bites Denji's finger, the bite identical to Makima's, her eyes bearing the same ringed pattern. Kishibe explains she was found in China, smuggled to Japan, and is the Control Devil reborn with none of Makima's memories, certain to become like her again if left to the government. He hands her care to Denji and departs. The girl names herself Nayuta and asks only for sliced bread, which Denji finds an inexpensive devil to keep, and she rides home on his back.
