Bob

Bob comes across as tired and disillusioned, a career cop worn down by the rot inside the ISSP. He hands over sensitive details reluctantly and often only under pressure, yet his loyalty to Jet keeps pulling him back into the role of informant.

Bob serves on Ganymede during the Space Warriors scare. After Jet and Spike bring in Twinkle Maria Murdock and discover the reward on her has been pulled, Jet leans on Bob, hinting at knowledge of his shady past and perhaps some pilfered Red Eye, until the officer lays out the group's plan to unleash a virus. He advises handing Murdock back, though Jet presses on instead. He surfaces again after a stranger nearly kills Spike, tipping Jet off about Mad Pierrot and his campaign to murder senior ISSP officials. When a nano-machine plague menaces Alba City, Bob shares what he can dig up and admits the upper ranks care only about shielding themselves while the lower ranks are hopelessly crooked, a state of affairs Jet notes has not changed since his own departure; he later flags an ISSP strike on the water treatment plant. Finally, learning that the Red Dragon syndicate is convulsing in a coup that has seen Vicious seized and his associates hunted down, Bob calls to warn Jet and begs him to get off Mars, only for Jet to answer that it is already too late.

The series lists the character as Bob, but the movie's Japanese credits render him as Pop, while its English credits keep Bob. Yutaka Nakano voices him in Japanese and John Snyder in English.
