History

In 2071 Ruth works alongside Herman and George, the trio running a trucking vessel to sidle up to unsuspecting ships. Their craft fires a grappling cable that latches onto a target's computer systems, knocking the ship out of commission before the truck opens up to swallow the loot, which they later fence on the quiet. The Bebop gives chase, and the pirates manage to disable it, but the Red Tail and the Swordfish II turn the same virus back on the pirate ship, freezing it in place until it explodes and kills the crew. The names Ruth, Herman, and George together nod to the baseball great George Herman 'Babe' Ruth.
