Beam is the Shark Fiend devil hunter from Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man, who turns up in a Dandadan volume bonus story partnering Denji against the Typhoon Human. Fiercely devoted to Denji, he fights by transforming into a shark.
Beam stands on the muscular frame of a young man, but his head is mostly fiend: a shark snout and fin take the place of its upper half, and no eyes are visible. Below that he keeps short, spiky black hair and a mouth lined with very sharp teeth.
Loyalty to Denji defines Beam, rooted in his reverence for the Chainsaw Devil dwelling inside his partner. He showers Denji with praise over even the most absurd reasoning and likes to address him by that devil epithet rather than his name. He is not purely single-minded, though, and shows concern for bystanders when it counts, asking during the Typhoon Human fight whether they ought to safeguard the passengers on an endangered plane.
When the Typhoon Human surfaced in the Sea of Japan, mistaken for the Typhoon Devil, Beam and Denji were sent to put it down. Beam shifted into shark form to ride the storm's violent updrafts while Denji, in Hybrid form, chained himself to Beam to be hauled through the air. As they closed in, Beam happily praised Denji for wanting to beat the typhoon just to unlock a hotel's adult channel, and warned him about an airborne shark, which Denji sliced apart. After noticing a plane dragged toward the storm, Beam asked whether they should protect the passengers; Denji only committed once he spotted Bamora through a window, then ordered Beam to charge.
The assault went badly. Beam was struck by a flung shark and launched from the Typhoon Human's nostril, weaving through the barrage as Denji leapt to slash what he guessed were weak points, only for the creature to regenerate instantly and blast them both into the sea. Beam dragged himself toward shore hampered by a leg cramp while a blood-starved Denji suggested resting, and as they reached the shallows a lifeguard urged them out of the water before the weather worsened, which Denji promptly obeyed.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
