History

The storm materializes in Empty Space while the Family and the Kito Family are battling mid-flight, its fierce winds wrecking the plane's engine. It hauls swarms of frozen sharks down from the sky, and those falling sharks tear further into the aircraft. When the Kitos load a Mongolian Death Worm with the sharks to fire back at it, the typhoon stuffs two sharks up its nostril and shoots them out fast enough to punch clean through the worm and break it from the plane.

Momo then sends the worm flying toward the eye while she, Jiji, and Unji ride along, and Jiji fires an Evil Gun into it. The storm simply regrows the damage and answers with lightning, which the group dodges using the frozen sharks. As it readies a third bolt, Jiji and Unji combine their powers to disrupt the vapor sustaining the creature, finally scattering it. In a separate Volume 23 omake, Denji and Beam are sent after it believing it to be the Typhoon Devil; Denji slices through its nose and mouth, but it regenerates and drives them off with more sharks.
