Mika Adachi teaches Class 2-E at Kami High, but a desperate need to care for her ailing mother pulls her into shadow work. Recruited by Red Baron to gather yokai powers, she commands a squad of jiangshi and clashes with the heroes through the Kozuka Knives Arc.
Adachi reads as a trim young woman of unremarkable height, her dark hair falling in a center part. When she first turns up it sits in a bob just past the neck, though later chapters show it lengthened to her shoulders. Her on-the-job look leans casual: a scoop-neck top, the lanyard that marks her as faculty, and yoga pants round out her teaching wardrobe.
What drives Adachi above all is her bond with her mother, and she will sink to almost any depth to keep her supported. That devotion is exactly what a stranger exploits, dangling a wish in front of her in exchange for moving against Seiko and stealing her abilities. The same desperation pushes her to swallow her dignity for Murakami, slipping into a degrading bunny costume to wring money out of him so she can secure her mother a place in a care home. Beneath her composed teacher's manner runs a current of quiet resentment and calculation.
During the Onbusuman Arc, Adachi is at her faculty desk when she greets a strange man who has settled into Murakami's spot, introducing himself as Sanjome. When a baffled Murakami arrives looking for his own desk, both teachers find themselves equally lost, until Sanjome's name convinces Murakami he is the deputy head teacher.
In the Kozuka Knives Arc, Adachi has tied herself to a mysterious benefactor who offers a wish if she helps harvest yokai powers with Asura knives. Paired with a working man, she is sent after Seiko Ayase at a gyoza restaurant, controlling her jiangshi from outside the building. When her partner is beaten, she flees back to Kami High and brushes off Murakami's questions by claiming she was nursing her mother. She later accepts his offer of financial help, endures the humiliating costume, and quietly readies a talisman and her jiangshi to ambush him. Once Koki's swarm of flies overwhelms Murakami, she draws a black kozuka knife and forces his surrender, claiming his power. Summoned afterward to hand the knife and the stolen power to a businessman subordinate, she learns Murakami was never a target and that the orchestrator wants her to terrorize the loved ones of a far stronger person. When she begs to stay useful, the businessman beats her with his luggage, and she is rescued by Vega before the subordinate's Fairy-Tale Card forces her to attack the officer and the enemy escapes.
In the Six Curses Arc, Vega brings the wounded Adachi to his home to recover. She agrees to watch over his son Unji while Vega returns Daiki to his family. When Unji wakes calling for his brother, she brings him water, alerts the police, and watches the televised reunion of Daiki with his parents. As Unji rushes off saying he is heading to a woman's house, she asks after his destination.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
