Personality

Heading what was effectively a doomed army never crushed her optimism; she stayed eager to rejoin the three thousand other Sumerians and trusted they would hold out until the reunion. That same nerve showed in battle, where she planted herself between the Kur and Bamora's group to guard their escape.

History

Scouts reported that nearly three thousand of their own still lived to the west, so she told the platoon that linking up with them was now the chief aim. Tome rejoiced at the report, while Banga stayed on edge and wondered aloud whether those survivors had perished since the word came, a worry the leader brushed off, certain no force of Kur could blot out so many in a single stroke as she steered everyone into the forest.

Catching the aliens' presence, she gestured for the column to freeze and inch ahead, and beyond a rise they saw a Big Mama encircled by Kur, fed captured Sumerians so it would spew out exosuits. She elected to keep moving, with Banga warning Bamora that any rescue would only get them killed, and led the platoon down through the valley to the meeting point, which sat eerily empty. Then a soldier dropped dead from a sudden shot and the Kur poured fire in from both flanks of the woods, trapping them in the open. While Aja and Tome uncovered a way out, the leader gave covering fire for the four until a laser tore her apart. The only ones still standing were Bamora, Banga, Tome, and Aja.
