Sumerians are an alien race from the planet Sumer. The story strongly implies they are the forebears of humanity, having once migrated to a second homeland they called Idea, the world later known as Earth.
Physically the Sumerians could pass for people of Earth almost exactly, sharing the same general build and features. The lone giveaway is a pair of antennas sprouting from the top of the head, the single trait that sets them apart from ordinary Earthlings.
Sumerian culture centers on faith in a god they believe will rescue the race from extinction, and tradition calls for them to pray to this deity at the close of every day. During the war, an exosuit modeled on that god was forged from the essence of several Sumerian women, which Banga read as the embodiment of Sumerian hatred born from their clinging hope of salvation. Though she herself did not believe the myth, she ironically fulfilled it by using the suit to rally the enslaved men. As a people they field advanced arms, including laser-firing guns and protective combat gear, and they built warp-gate pyramids capable of carrying them between worlds.
In the distant past the Sumerians raised a warp-gate pyramid to leave Sumer for the planet Idea, settling it as a second home whose later descendants became humankind, a migration so old it was dismissed as legend and the gate left guarded and unused for thousands of years. That peace ended when the Kur invaded. The defenders were overrun, their men killed or enslaved to feed the Big Mama as exosuit material while the surviving women formed a resistance, and the sole known Sumerian child was a girl named Bamora, raised by Banga.
Over years of fighting, a trap reduced the resistance to Bamora, Banga, and two comrades, who fought toward the ancient pyramid to flee to Idea. Banga used the god-shaped exosuit to incite the captive men to rebel and reached the gate with Bamora, but with only enough power to send one person across she forced the girl through and stayed behind. As the Kur's assault on Earth collapsed, Banga, Tome, Aja, and at least two men commandeered a spacecraft to pursue the Kur and reunite with Bamora.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
