Momo Ayase is the main heroine of Dandadan, a bold gyaru with psychic powers. After befriending the occult nerd she names Okarun, she helps him chase down his stolen kintama and battle the spirits and aliens they meet along the way.
Of roughly average height, Momo has shoulder-skimming maroon hair that mostly covers the right half of her face and bright crimson eyes; Okarun and others find her striking. Her usual look is the school uniform: a pale pink long-sleeved sweater over a white shirt, finished with a slack red ribbon, a navy pleated skirt, loose white socks, and brown loafers, all in the kogal gyaru style. She keeps round green earrings and a black choker fitted with a matching green charm at the back, an accessory she wears no matter the outfit.
Momo carries herself with bold, fierce confidence and is rarely cowed by anyone. Quick to lose her temper, she lashes out in comic bursts at whoever provokes her, then shows regret if she overdoes it, and she trades barbs freely with Aira. Underneath, she is warm and caring, unable to ignore wrongdoing or abandon someone in trouble, which is why she stepped between Okarun and his bullies and helped lift his curse. No matter the odds, she stands her ground, having faced the Kito Family and the Kur alone. She knows she is clever and has been called a genius by Okarun and Unji, leaning on quick deductions to escape tight spots, and she is not above a little manipulation to get her way. A devoted fan of actor Ken Takakura, she renamed the classmate who shares that name as Okarun rather than use it. Playful and prone to flattery, she treats her gyaru wardrobe as battle gear and, though she trusted in ghosts, only believed in aliens once they abducted her.
Raised from a young age by her grandmother Seiko, Momo grew up close to Jiji, on whom she once had a crush. A daily good-luck ritual Seiko made her perform in public drew bullying, which she first blamed on her grandmother; in time she realized the mockery hurt Seiko more, let go of her resentment, and came to love both Seiko and her work as a medium. Her adventures begin when she befriends the occult-obsessed Ken Takakura, whom she dubs Okarun. After a bet, her psychic powers awaken while he loses a kintama to Turbo Granny's curse, and she agrees to help him recover it and face the paranormal threats ahead. Much later, after she eats something from inside the Fairy-Tale Card's pocket world, a curse dooms her to shrink and vanish from everyone's memory; priests from Shimane lift it, but she loses her memories back to around when she first met Okarun.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
