Head Exosuit

Item

The Head Exosuit is a compact Kur war machine produced in large numbers by the alien race. Little more than a toothed dome head serving as the cockpit, it was a common sight among the invading forces until Okarun destroyed one. Its look draws on the Alien franchise's Xenomorph.

Overview

One Kur of the Advance Unit wielded a Head Exosuit before it was wrecked by Okarun. The model was among the most widely built suits the Kur fielded, so many identical copies turn up across their ranks. The unit was likely already in service back during the invasion of Sumer.

Function

Unlike the fuller-bodied suits, this one is small and skips a complete frame. What remains is a long, eyeless domed head fitted with a fanged mouth, and that head itself works as the cockpit, an arrangement that echoes the Jet Booster Exosuit. A gun sits on either flank, and the version seen on the main pilot adds thin stick arms plus a slim strip of metal at the base. The copies worn by rank-and-file Kur drop both the stick arms and that metal attachment.

The Advance Unit deployed these suits after landing on Earth to find Bamora, opening with an attack on the Serpo before clashing with Okarun, Aira, Jiji, and Momo. Okarun quickly burned and dropped one Kur in an upgraded, modified Head Exosuit. Takakura was beaten and had his ball taken, then Mantisian rescued him along with a wounded Kur, carrying both back to the Ayase Residence. There Momo found the alien dead and was stunned to discover inside its suit a ball matching Bamora's, the same kind that powered the Kaiju, which led her to brand Bamora an octopus spy. Once the warp gate, fueled by Okarun's Kintama, let more UFOs reach Earth, additional Kur in Head Exosuits joined Hastur and the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur against the Family.
