Out of the Frying Pan

Battered by Kinta and Bamora, the kaiju suit shrinks down and Hastur abandons it. The pair parachute to safety, and Kinta gears up to bellow his name proudly, only for Momo to cut him off by calling him Erosuke. Momo, Okarun, and Mantisian recover the kintama and seal the portal, celebrating that all that remains is backing up Aira and the Evil Eye against the last aliens. Their relief shatters when they look up to see the main force's UFOs squeezing through the gate before it shuts, launching an assault that tears Empty Space apart and drags everyone back into normal space.

Mantisian races off to join Aira while Momo and Okarun bolt for the mecha to resist the fleet before anyone dies once Empty Space fully breaks. Momo is then intercepted by Reiko Kashima, who gleefully announces her intent to torment her inside the mirror, leaving Momo crumpling in despair. Hearing Momo's wish to reunite with Seiko, Reiko Kashima flashes to bombs falling and sees the same destruction unfolding around her from the main force. Enraged, she channels her mirror power through the glass towers to project an enormous fist that smashes the flagship.

Momo and Okarun shut down the warp gate, but the main fleet breaks through at the last second and begins razing the city as Empty Space starts to rip. Reiko Kashima enters Empty Space, set on revenge against Momo.

Her memories surface, revealing she perished in an airplane bombing. In the bout called Reiko Kashima vs. Kur, she destroys the lead ship with a gigantic punch projected through her mirror.

The chapter belongs to Volume 14, the Space Globalists Arc, and the Kintama Hunt Saga, running eighteen pages with an August 8, 2023 release between Chapter 116 and Chapter 118. Its publication date falls near the anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, and Reiko Kashima's death by aerial bombing has been read as an allusion to that event. Seiko Ayase appears in flashback.
