Yuzuki Fuwa

Fuwa keeps her hair in a bob with a straight fringe across the forehead; the strands read black in the manga and take on a purplish tint in the anime. Her eyes are drawn green in the source material and light purple in the adaptation. Following the time skip, the bob has grown out to reach her shoulders.

Bursting with imagination and enthusiasm, Fuwa lives and breathes manga, favoring the shonen demographic and forever referencing Weekly Shonen Jump and its peers. Her fondness stretches across many genres, since she reads widely on whatever subject catches her attention, convinced it broadens how she sees the world. That said, her weekly reading habit came at a cost to her grades, math especially, which is how she ended up transferred into Class 3-E.

Fuwa grew up surrounded by comics of every sort, cultivating the practice of picking up manga tied to any topic that intrigued her and becoming well-read across countless formats. She debuts with most of Class 3-E but earns her real introduction later, when she becomes the first to correctly finger Smog as the man who handed out the virus-laced drinks. That knack recurs when Korosensei is falsely branded an underwear thief and she sneaks with several classmates onto a training facility to unmask the true culprit, and again when she and Ritsu research Itona Horibe's background after his rampage on phone stores.

Her strengths lie in deduction and observation. Constant reading has trained her to anticipate the strange and map fictional scenarios onto real events, and a sharp photographic memory underpins her detective work, as her early identification of Smog demonstrates. She often teams with Rinka Hayami in operations, her situational judgment pairing well with Hayami's sniping, and she leans on friends like Sumire Hara to pull her back from her flights of imagination. Her ambition to become a manga editor even leads her to break the fourth wall on occasion, and after graduation she does indeed enter the editing profession.
