Asguiaro Ebern

Ebern is a tall, slender Arrancar whose short red hair sweeps back into peaks on either side of his head. A mask fragment pierced by three holes covers his left eye, and his right eyebrow angles oddly upward. His attire is a white trench coat, long and double-breasted, fitted with shoulder straps and cinched by a black belt and ornate buckle over white trousers and matching trench boots.

A haughty streak defines Ebern, who openly doubts Ichigo's strength and assumes only the boy's Bankai could ever threaten him. He is also mulish, flatly refusing to climb off Ichigo's bed even when ordered, and he squabbles readily with fellow soldier Luders Friegen. Before Yhwach, however, all defiance drains away into fearful obedience. Having entered the Quincy empire's service, Ebern casts off his old identity as a Hollow and an Arrancar entirely.

Ebern materializes in Ichigo Kurosaki's bedroom, announcing his full name before being kicked out the window for refusing to leave. Drawn into the open, he denies being an Arrancar, presents himself as a Quincy, and conjures a large weapon to test whether Ichigo recognizes its power. He grows gleeful once Ichigo unleashes his Bankai and triggers his Medallion to steal it, wounding Ichigo's arm, but Ichigo tears free and answers with a Getsuga Tenshō. Left badly hurt and baffled that the Bankai never vanished, Ebern slips away through a shadow, claiming it hides only the chosen.

Back at Silbern, he kneels before Yhwach as Luders Friegen arrives, and their bickering ends when Yhwach severs Luders' arm and kills him outright, shocking Ebern. Yhwach then turns to Ebern, judging that he can be neither blamed nor praised: he failed to defeat Ichigo yet slowed him enough to matter. Naming him a foundation of the coming peace and his task complete, Yhwach beheads him.
