Choe Neng Poww

Standing at a colossal height, Poww cuts an intimidating figure with dark brown hair styled after a medieval monk and pale green eyes. No Hollow hole shows on him; instead his mask remnant forms a broad plate over the chin flanked by a pair of horn-like projections. Green triangular lines trace down both cheeks and close into small rings, marking his estigma.

His clothing reworks the standard white Arrancar garb into something resembling Chinese dress, with sleeves long enough to leave only his enormous hands exposed. He keeps the usual hakama worn by his kind, and his footwear calls to mind the shoes of traditional martial arts.

For all the menace of his size, Poww is measured and thoughtful, a man of few words who tends toward quiet seriousness. That reserve masks a streak of arrogance: he grows smug once a fight tips his way and openly mocks his foes, needling Ikkaku Madarame over his bald head and dismissing Sajin Komamura as little more than a dog. Above everything he venerates Baraggan, whom he hails as his god and king and to whom he offers prayer before drawing his blade.

As a Fracción drawn from Baraggan's court, Poww carries a heavy reserve of spiritual energy, tinted green, and backs it with monstrous physical power. A single blow from him launched Komamura, the bulkiest captain in the Gotei 13, flying for miles, and he shrugged that off as less than his hardest strike. His Hierro is dense enough that being smashed through a building left him unmarked, and he can gather green energy in his mouth to loose a Cero.

Sent against Ikkaku Madarame to bring down one of the pillars anchoring the real Karakura Town, Poww overwhelmed the lieutenant and toppled the structure, only to draw the attention of Captain Komamura. Their exchange pushed him to release his sword, a wakizashi hidden in his sleeve named Calderón, at the command to Breathe.

In released form Poww swells into a gargantuan, whale-like beast roughly the scale of a Gillian, its chin and chest wrapped in a striped, inflatable sac like the throat of a baleen whale. The change sharpens his Hierro, strength, and Cero alike, yet its crushing weight tires him quickly, so he leans on it only under Baraggan's orders. Before he could unleash the full force of his boosted Cero, Komamura's Bankai bore down and crushed him.
