Appearance

Baraggan looks every bit the weathered old ruler: a single olive-green left eye, a white mustache and matching hair, and heavy scarring that traces from his chin down along his throat and over the right eye. For all his years he stays broad and thickly built, carrying himself with a slight stoop. He wears a regal fur-lined white coat, gold bands at each wrist, plus a belt of heavy chains fastened to a sun-emblazoned disk, the overall impression that of a barbarian warlord. His mask remnant rides above his brow as a five-pointed crown.

Personality

Having once ruled Hueco Mundo outright, Baraggan is imperious, vain, and swollen with pride, unwilling to defer to anyone and quick to seize command among the Espada whenever Aizen is unavailable. His mastery over aging feeds a bleak fatalism: he preaches that nothing endures, that even the word 'forever' is a coward's invention born of the fear of death, and he dismisses his foes as ants he can simply rot away. That arrogance, though, is brittle. Wound or outmatch him and he explodes into cursing fury, and Hachigen Ushōda suggests the God-King is himself just another creature terrified of growing old. His long-held grudge against Aizen shapes his very last act, a futile lunge at his so-called Boss's life.

Abilities

Baraggan's defining power, Senescencia, weaponizes time itself. A field around him drags everything nearby toward a near standstill, leaving opponents unable to land a blow while he counters at will, and whatever he touches ages violently, as when he crumbled Suì-Fēng's arm to brittle bone. He carries the twin-headed battleaxe Arrogante, swung with strength enough to cleave distant buildings in two, and rounds out his arsenal with Sonído and a keen tactical mind. Releasing Arrogante with the command 'Rot' burns his flesh down to a crowned, lich-like skeleton and unleashes Respira, a black breath of accelerated decay that rots whatever it engulfs, be it flesh, barriers, or Kidō. His end comes when Hachigen turns that decay back on him, sealing Baraggan's own rotting severed arm inside his body so the God-King ages himself into dust.
