During a scare over explosives possibly planted at the Academy, the students are cleared out of their classroom, and Kōji heads to a kunai range with Daichi, Nobori, and several classmates to practise throwing at a wooden block. Naruto Uzumaki, Rock Lee, and Chōji Akimichi interrupt them, suspecting a bomb is hidden inside the wood, a fear that soon proves justified.
