Daichi

Daichi keeps his black hair cropped short and tends to squint, and he is remembered for a bright, disarming smile. His outfit runs to a grey shirt striped down the centre and along the cuffs, faded purple trousers, and sandals, with bandages wound around his legs. Topping it off is a headpiece styled to look like a set of headphones.

Daichi has a coarse mouth, but underneath it he is a genuinely kind boy whose first instinct is to look out for the people close to him.

As a pupil in Konohamaru's class at the Academy, Daichi answered without hesitation when the Third Hokage asked the children whom they would protect, naming his friends. He was later grouped with fellow students Nobori and Matsuri for a survival drill led by Hinata. In the anime, when the class is cleared out over a bomb scare, he heads to a kunai range and practises alongside Nobori, Koji, and other children, hurling blades at a wooden block, until Rock Lee, Naruto Uzumaki, and Choji Akimichi burst in convinced the wood is hiding an explosive, a suspicion that proves correct.
