Appearance

This young shinobi wears glasses and keeps his short brown hair under a bandanna-style forehead protector, maroon eyes beneath. Like many of his generation who look up to Killer B, a blue bull's-horn tattoo marks his left cheek. His outfit follows Kumo's standard, a white flak jacket and gloves over a blue underlayer and trousers, white shin guards merged into his sandals, a red cord knotted at his throat like a tie, and a large shuriken slung across his back.

History

He controls an oversized shuriken through chakra and wields prodigious physical power, and in the anime he adds Lightning Release to sharpen his attacks; for all his relaxed manner, the ferocity of his strikes is not to be taken lightly. With teammates Yurui and Tarui, Toroi's squad journeyed to Konohagakure for the Chunin Exams. After the opening ceremony the team ran into Team Konohamaru, then raced the other entrants toward the first venue, slipping past every trap to reach Exam Venue B, where a true-or-false question dropped all competitors toward a pool of ink; by avoiding the ink his team advanced.

For the second round three days on, they won a game of capture the flag against Team 15 and moved to the finals, where the entrants fought one on one. Matched against Mitsuki, Toroi was beaten and knocked out of the exams.
