Vampire (Pureblood)

Pureblood had the look of a classic vampire noble, with narrow eyes, pointed fangs, and pale hair swept back into long sideburns that trailed all the way to his chest. He dressed the part in black trousers, a grey double-breasted vest strung with two chains, a puffed-shoulder shirt with a ruffled collar, and a sweeping black cape over it all.

Cruel, haughty, and utterly convinced of his own superiority, he treated the ancient blood in his veins as proof that he alone was a genuine monster while the rest of the Association were mere imitations. He loathed being surrounded by them and thought nothing of preying on the weaker ones for a meal, which earned him widespread contempt; the spectators at his fight were fully prepared to swarm and finish him off if he emerged victorious but drained. His scorn stretched to humans and to Zombieman in particular, whom he mocked for clinging to a human origin while leaning on what he dismissed as cheap tricks. For all his bluster, streaks of cowardice showed through, as when he ducked Gyoro Gyoro's challenge to fight the Association's leader.

Pureblood joined the coordinated Monster Association raid that battered several cities at once, slaughtering much of V-City's population in the process. Back at the association's base he fed on a fellow monster while boasting that he bowed to Orochi only long enough to crush the Hero Association, certain his lineage made him the strongest creature there. When the heroes stormed the lair, the other monsters funneled Zombieman into the chamber where Pureblood waited overhead, hoping to feast on whoever survived. The vampire darted behind Zombieman and bit into his throat, then recoiled in disgust at the hero's foul-tasting blood. What followed stretched roughly thirty minutes: he caught bullets and hurled them back hard enough to pierce Zombieman's skull, broke both of the hero's arms, and dealt wound after wound, yet Zombieman kept rising. Pureblood restored himself by consuming blood and could scatter into a swarm of bats or grow leathery wings and razor edges from his cape, but his regeneration had a ceiling. Once he ran short of monsters to drain, he could no longer keep pace, and Zombieman ultimately stood over his corpse, having killed him something like two hundred times over.
