Vampires

Unlike the many monsters manufactured through monster cells, vampires occur in nature as a genuine species of Mysterious Being. Sunlight seems to hold no sway over them, since Pureblood was seen attacking freely in broad daylight without suffering for it, and remarks he made imply that members of the line enjoy unusually long lifespans.

The defining trait of every vampire is the capacity to draw blood from living things, whether ordinary humans or flesh-and-blood Mysterious Beings alike. Pureblood in particular displayed heightened speed and strength on top of the abilities to transform and to regenerate, though that healing leans on a steady supply of blood to fuel it.

The species' most prominent representative is Pureblood, who took part in the Monster Association's simultaneous strike on multiple cities and butchered a large share of V-City's residents. During the S-Class raid on the association he clashed with Zombieman, downing the hero repeatedly, but Zombieman's swift recovery let him weather every blow until the vampire finally fell. Pureblood stands as the only named member of the type, and he did not survive the encounter.
