Roughly human in shape, he hides his face behind a bone mask and wraps his body in pale, linen-like cloth. The scythe he carries seals the grim-reaper look, finished by long black hair and full red lips.

Gambling defines him. He plays mostly with Gook and Ryuk, though Ryuk supposedly seldom joins, drawing his dismissive verdict that the whole thing is pointless.
History
In the first episode he wins a hand against Gook. Gook waves Ryuk over, but Ryuk is too caught up in the human world, and after five days he announces he has lost his notebook to Earth and departs. Deridovely all but vanishes afterward, glimpsed only in Ryuk's memories of the death gods' realm. His final canonical moment is the opening Relight OVA, titled Visions of a God, where a nameless Shinigami asks him, Gook, and Zellogi where Ryuk has gone. Obata modeled him on a repugnant see-through insect and felt the wrappings helped. Japanese print names him Dellidublly; Viz chose Deridovely.
