Steve Mason directs the FBI and later signs on to Near's SPK. His fingerprints are on both ends of the Kira hunt, from dispatching the doomed bureau agents early on to helping stand up the task force that eventually steps in for L.
Mason cuts a heavyset figure, an older and broadly built man whose gray eyes sit beneath a bald head. A thick gray mustache covers his upper lip, and he appears without fail in a dark suit and tie.
Mason carries himself as a high-ranking administrator weighing risk against duty. He proves willing to throw federal resources behind the Kira problem, yet just as willing to withdraw them the instant the danger to his people turns fatal, a caution borne out by his choice to recall the bureau's agents after their deaths.
In the opening phase of the investigation, Mason lends L a hand by sending a dozen bureau operatives to Japan, their assignment to trace a leak coming from within the task force. When Kira wipes out every one of those agents, Mason pulls the FBI off the case. Later, after the years-long gap, Near approaches him, and together they persuade the American president to authorize the SPK. Mason joins the unit himself, only to die of a heart attack alongside several colleagues once the notebook reaches the Mafia.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
