Personality

Kiyoshi is courageous despite very real fear, having managed to stay alive alone in a house full of demons trying to eat him. He is clever and resourceful, turning Kyogai's own tsuzumi drum against the demon to escape danger. Tanjiro was struck by the boy's willpower in holding out so long under such conditions.

History

Targeted as a marechi for his rare blood, Kiyoshi was dragged to Tsuzumi Mansion, where three demons quarreled over who would eat him. In the scuffle Kyogai lost one of his drums, which Kiyoshi grabbed and used to teleport himself away from them.

He struck the drum whenever danger approached and held on until his sister Teruko arrived with the slayer Tanjiro, who dressed his wounds. While Tanjiro fought Kyogai, Kiyoshi and Teruko kept themselves safe. After the demon fell, the siblings reunited, helped bury the dead, and were given a bag of wisteria by Tanjiro's crow before heading home.
