Kyojuro Rengoku is the Flame Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a warm and tireless swordsman who lives by the creed that the strong must shield the weak. His stand against the Upper Rank Akaza aboard the Mugen Train becomes one of the series' defining moments.
Kyojuro is a tall young man of lean, muscular build and fair skin. His bright yellow hair flares out around his face with red, flame-like streaks at the tips, and his golden eyes shade to red around the irises. A near-constant, enthusiastic smile and an air of optimism make him instantly recognizable.
He wears the standard Corps uniform with a striking haori draped over his shoulders, white fading into yellow with red flame ridges along the hem. The garment originally belonged to his father, Shinjuro, and he completes the look with flame-patterned leg wraps and red-strapped sandals.
Kyojuro approaches his duties as a Hashira with boundless enthusiasm and often comes across as cheerfully eccentric. He is honorable and pure of heart, guided by a code his mother instilled in him, chiefly the belief that those born strong are obligated to protect the weak. He loves his family deeply, worrying over his embittered father and encouraging his younger brother Senjuro without reservation.
Beneath the loud cheer lies a logical and tactically sharp mind that acts with precision when lives are at stake. He is quick to recognize talent in others, eventually accepting even the demon Nezuko as a Corps member after watching her risk herself to protect humans, proof that his hatred of demons never clouds his judgement.
As a Hashira, Kyojuro is among the most powerful and skilled combatants in the Corps. Before inheriting his father's title he had already avenged nine fallen slayers against the Flute Demon and singlehandedly defeated the former Lower Rank Two, Hairo. He mastered the entire Flame Breathing style from only three instructional volumes left by his ancestors. Even the Upper Rank Three Akaza praised his strength and offered to make him a demon, an offer reserved for swordsmen at their peak.
Kyojuro possesses tremendous speed, strength, stamina, and an indomitable will. A single swing was enough to launch Akaza into a distant forest, and he kept fighting after losing an eye and suffering shattered ribs and pierced organs. His honed senses let him detect demonic presences and weak points faster than even Tanjiro, and his knowledge of Total Concentration Breathing let him seal Tanjiro's wounds to stop fatal blood loss.
His chosen art is Flame Breathing, a style passed down through his lineage. Its forms range from the dashing horizontal cut of the First Form to the devastating high-speed strike of the Ninth Form, called Rengoku, his most powerful technique. In his final stand he held Akaza in place through the dawn, forcing the demon to tear off his own arms to flee the sunlight.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle earned $778 million globally and nearly 40 billion yen in Japan, but it still couldn't top Mugen Train's domestic record. Here's why that barely matters....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
