Satoko

Satoko was a teenage girl with black hair parted at the forehead and short bangs that framed her face. A portion of her hair was gathered at the back and tied with a large dark pink ribbon.

She dressed in a magenta and white patterned kimono fastened with a mauve obi, paired with zori. On the night she vanished she carried a small decorated pouch.

Little is recorded about Satoko's character. What is shown suggests a warm, lighthearted disposition, as she laughs happily while chatting with her fiance in Chapter 9. As an ordinary villager she had no combat training or special powers.

At some point Satoko met and became betrothed to Kazumi. Walking beside him one evening, she is abruptly pulled underground by the hidden Blood Demon Art of the Swamp Demon. The demon then devours her and keeps her hair ornament as part of a grim collection. Her death, alongside those of the demon's other victims, is later avenged when Tanjiro destroys the Swamp Demon. In a final detail revealed near the manga's end, her reincarnation and Kazumi's descendant reunite in the modern era, attending the same school.
