Wakuraba

Wakuraba stands at an ordinary height and has pale, grayish skin. Three cross-shaped scars mark his cheeks and the middle of his forehead, and his ears taper to sharp, elf-like points. His wide, orange eyes carry the engraved characters that announce his rank as Lower Three, and he keeps his short black hair styled with a widow's peak.

His clothing consists of a bamboo-toned yukata patterned with dots and pinstripes, a strip of dark fabric at the waist, and a lighter cloth at the neck. He also wears paired golden hoop earrings and wooden sandals fitted with black straps.

Like the other Lower Ranks, Wakuraba shows devotion to Muzan Kibutsuji and had hoped to grow stronger in his service. His obedience, however, is not absolute. When it becomes clear that Muzan intends to spare none of them, Wakuraba prioritizes his own survival over blind loyalty and decides to run rather than accept his fate.

Summoned to the Infinity Castle by Nakime after the death of Lower Rank Five, Wakuraba arrives alongside Enmu, Rokuro, Mukago, and Kamanue. A disguised Muzan reveals himself and berates the group for their weakness, declaring that their only worth lies in devouring humans and gaining power. He notes that the Upper Ranks have gone unchanged for a century while the Lower Ranks are endlessly replaced.

When Kamanue voices doubt, Muzan reads his thoughts and devours him, splattering the others with blood. He then kills Mukago for contradicting him. Realizing his mind can be read and that no mercy will come, Wakuraba seizes a moment while Muzan is occupied and sprints through the castle in a desperate bid to escape. Despite covering great distance, he finds himself dragged back before Nakime as nothing but a severed head, his pace far too slow against Muzan. His head is thrown before Rokuro and Enmu as a warning, and he is dead before the confrontation ends. He first appears in Chapter 51 and Episode 26.
