Summary

At the udon stall, the vendor is annoyed that Nezuko has not touched her bowl until Tanjiro returns, finishes the noodles himself, and praises the cooking. On the street, Nezuko senses someone ahead, the demon from earlier, who leads the pair to a marked house. Inside, the demon woman tends a patient wounded by an Asakusa demon, and she and her assistant introduce themselves as Tamayo and Yushiro.

Tamayo explains that she has reshaped her body to escape Muzan's control. She survives on small amounts of human blood rather than flesh, purchasing it discreetly, which is why neither she nor Yushiro carries an ordinary demon scent.

Key Events

An alliance forms

Tamayo reveals that Yushiro is the only demon she successfully created after more than two centuries of work. She insists she does not want to multiply demons but to ease incurable suffering. Sensing her sincerity, Tanjiro asks for her help in turning demons back into humans.

The cure's conditions

Tamayo confirms a cure may be possible but says she must study Nezuko's blood along with samples taken from demons carrying high concentrations of Muzan's blood. She notes Nezuko's unusual state after sleeping two years without consuming human flesh, and warns the task of collecting blood will be dangerous. Tanjiro agrees regardless.
