Aimi Tanaka

In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the anime produced by studio Ufotable, Tanaka lends her voice to Koto Shinazugawa. The part adds to a body of anime work that Tanaka has built since beginning her career in 2013, and it places her among the cast of one of the most prominent series of its era. Her contribution sits alongside the singing and synthesized-voice projects that define much of her professional output, marking her presence in a flagship adaptation while she continues her parallel activities as a performer.

Born on April 28, 1992, Tanaka is represented by the talent agency 81 Produce. Alongside her acting, she works as a singer; she released the album Cobalt through the Wave Master label, extending her career beyond voice roles into recorded music. Active professionally since 2013, she has combined dramatic voice work with musical and synthesized-voice ventures, a dual path that has shaped her reputation in the Japanese entertainment industry.

Tanaka received the Best Rookie Actress Award at the 10th Seiyu Awards, a notable early honor in her acting career. She is also the voice source behind Otomachi Una, the VOCALOID4 vocal developed by Internet Co., Ltd. and MTK, and by extension behind Una's Talk EX, VOICEROID2, and Voidol speech voicebanks. She later supplied additional updates for the character, including the VOCALOID6:AI, Synthesizer V AI, and Synthesizer V 2 AI versions of Otomachi Una.
