Juli Erickson

Juli Erickson retired from voice acting in October 2018 after decades of anime dub work. She died in December 2025 at the age of 86, following a career best remembered for voicing Recovery Girl in the early English episodes of My Hero Academia.

Erickson voiced Recovery Girl, the healing-Quirk school nurse at U.A. High, in the English dub's earliest episodes, staying in the part through roughly episodes four through thirteen. She announced her retirement from voice acting in October 2018, after which Luci Christian took over the role.

Juli Erickson voiced Kokoro, along with the character Tsuru, in the English dub of the One Piece franchise. The role was part of a career built largely on dubbing character parts for English-speaking anime audiences.

Beyond My Hero Academia and One Piece, Erickson voiced Setsu in Samurai 7, Shima in Ouran High School Host Club, Ogen in Basilisk, and Pinako Rockbell in Fullmetal Alchemist. She also appeared in the animated feature Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone.

Erickson was an American performer whose screen work began in live action, including a bit part in Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate, appearances on Matlock and Walker: Texas Ranger, and a lead role as Apollonia Kowalski in the 2010 drama Esther's Diary. She later spent years voicing character parts in English-language anime dubs before retiring in 2018.
