Appearance

This monster combines the head and body of an oversized catfish with a pair of muscular human arms and legs, and a faint electric aura crackles around him at all times. A battery symbol is inked across his stomach, while his drooping whiskers read like a moustache. Shifting into his Plate Tectonics Mode darkens his hide, splits his jaws open to reveal two eyes tucked within, and hardens his belly with plates of armor.

Personality

Unlike the boastful monsters around him, Electric Catfish Man shows a clear grasp of his own ceiling. After beating Lightning Genji, he handed most of the praise to Gyoro Gyoro, crediting the strategist's matchup planning rather than trumpeting his own skill. That modesty sets him apart from peers who would greedily claim every victory as their own.

History

Electric Catfish Man is widely implied to be the husband of Maiko Plasma, and the two share a genuine mutual regard; he rushes to her side the moment she is in danger. Sent with her to raid the rebuilt D-City, the pair run into Lightning Genji, whose electric stun attacks prove useless against monsters immune to his own element. That type advantage carries them to a win over the A-Class hero.

Back at the Monster Association, the two reflect that Gyoro Gyoro's careful choice of opponent decided the fight in their favor. Later, Electric Catfish Man joins a swarm of Tiger-level monsters attacking Puri-Puri Prisoner, but their blows do nothing. When they try to flee, the elephant-faced Baquma blocks their path and swallows the group to absorb their powers; Electric Catfish Man dodges being consumed and fails to drag Maiko Plasma free, though the S-Class hero's defeat of Baquma later releases everyone. He catches his freed partner, warns that something worse than an earthquake is coming, and the two brace together against the worldwide tremor Orochi unleashes during his battle with Saitama. Whether they survived the headquarters' destruction is never confirmed.

His power revolves around generating electricity, which meshes perfectly with Maiko Plasma, who absorbs his current to fuel her own output. He tunnels through solid ground at high speed, withstands repeated strikes from an A-Class hero, resists electric attacks outright, and hits hard enough to send people flying. Despite his Tiger ranking, he is a competent hand-to-hand fighter.
